President Donald Trump has hit his highest net approval rating since August with the conservative pollster InsiderAdvantage.
The improvement comes despite voter concerns about affordability under his administration and growing pessimism about the health of the economy.
According to InsiderAdvantage, Trump had a positive net approval rating of +8.4 points in December. That is his highest reading with InsiderAdvantage since his +10 in August after his Alaska summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The pollster surveyed 800 likely voters via cell or text message on December 20 and the poll has a margin of error of 3.46 percent.
Of those polled, 49.5 percent approved of Trump’s performance, 41.1 percent disapproved, and 9.1 percent were undecided.
“Interestingly, our recent job performance surveys have shown the number of undecided respondents at an unusually high number,” said InsiderAdvantage pollster Matt Towery.
“This tells us that some voters, particularly independents, remain unsure as to his accomplishments so far. This suggests he has work to do as he and the GOP enter the midterm season.”
