Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams orchestrated another impressive comeback during his second year of NFL action, this time in a massive win against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card round.
It was a thrilling victory for Williams, the Bears, and Chicago. Despite throwing two interceptions and getting sacked once, Williams had a brilliant performance, throwing 24-of-48 completions for two touchdowns.
Among those throws was an incredible fourth-down connection that saved the Bears’ postseason, with many individuals calling it one of the top five passes in the NFL in recent memory.
All of that said, the Bears’ superstar quarterback is proving naysayers wrong as he continues to lead his team in late-game situations when it matters most. That should lead to major success for Chicago, including more wins and Williams picking up various awards and records during his career.

Williams’ latest performance was enough to win a very unique award, as the Nickelodeon network named him the “NVP,” which is, of course, the Nickelodeon Valuable Player. Williams achieved the award in “NFL Slimetime” Season 5 for the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs.
The Chicago Bears shared the news on Thursday, along with several photos of Williams holding an NVP Trophy featuring an orange blimp bearing the Nickelodeon name and green slime dripping atop a silver trophy base.
Williams smiles with a teammate as he holds the award, and his teammate duplicates the ice-cold celebratory dance that the Bears QB has unleashed in multiple games.
Williams joins other stars who have won this award over the years, including former Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who won it in Week 18 with the Buffalo Bills.
Others who have won Nickelodeon’s award include Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, and Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen.
With that award now in hand, Williams and the Bears are looking to take on their next postseason challenge. They’ll face Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC Divisional Round matchup on Sunday, with the Rams coming in as the favorites.
Cold weather could likely play a significant part in this latest matchup between the two NFC teams, which did not meet in the regular season. An early weather report from Fox 32 indicated temperatures possibly reaching 20 degrees and “gusty southwesterly winds” that will create frigid conditions with wind chills in the single digits.
Stafford is considered the frontrunner to win the NFL Most Valuable Player, an award Williams could very well be in the conversation for if he continues to improve and succeed in Chicago. With Ben Johnson as head coach, it seems likely, as the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator has created a system and culture that the Bears have fully bought into.
