Sarah Ferguson reportedly checked herself into a luxury wellness clinic amid her and ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s resurfaced associations with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Ferguson, 66, allegedly checked into an “expensive wellness clinic” in Switzerland last month, according to the Daily Mail. The outlet further reported that the Duchess of York stayed at the facility through the end of January.
Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Ferguson for comment.
Ferguson and her ex-husband, who divorced in 1996, recently made headlines for their previous associations with Epstein. In resurfaced emails released by the Department of Justice in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Ferguson once called Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting his sex trafficking trial, a “supreme friend.”
A spokesperson for Ferguson claimed in a statement that the former duchess’ email was meant to counter an alleged defamation threat from Epstein.
“The duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims. Like many people, she was taken in by his lies,” Ferguson’s rep told the BBC in a statement in September 2025. “As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with pedophilia.”
The spokesperson added, “She does not resile from anything she said then. This email was sent in the context of advice the Duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats.”
Andrew, for his part, was arrested on Thursday, February 19, for alleged misconduct in public office. Local law enforcement later claimed that they were looking into whether Andrew shared confidential intel with Epstein when he served as a U.K. trade envoy.
“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” King Charles III said in a Thursday statement. “What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation.”
The monarch continued, “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
Andrew, who has not publicly addressed the allegations, was released from police custody within hours of his arrest. Ferguson, who shares two daughters with Andrew, hasn’t publicly reacted to the former Duke of York’s arrest.
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles in October 2025 over his past associations with Epstein.
“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement at the time. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”
