President Donald Trump posted a new video showing the design of his planned presidential library in Miami on Monday.
The video depicts a glass-wrapped tower with his name and dramatic interior exhibits.
The unveiling followed Florida’s 2025 approval of a nearly 3-acre downtown parcel for the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation and came as state leaders and local advocates continue sparring over the land transfer in court, underscoring the political, legal and cultural stakes surrounding a presidential library proposed for a marquee Miami site.
Newsweek reached out to the White House for additional information Monday night.
Why It Matters
The renderings, credited to architecture firm Bermello Ajamil, showed a tower with museum elements including a replica Oval Office, ballroom concept and a lobby featuring a presidential jet and gold escalator, highlighting the project’s branding central to Trump’s public image.
What To Know
Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet unanimously approved setting aside approximately 2.63 acres of downtown Miami property, appraised at $66 million to $67 million, for the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, Inc., which plans the president’s post-administration archives and museum.
The new one minute and 40 second video posted by Trump displayed online renderings of a tower near the Miami waterfront, with “TRUMP” visible near the top and a red, white and blue antenna. Interior visuals of aircraft, including military vehicles, a replica Oval Office, a proposed ballroom, an auditorium and rooftop gardens are also seen in the video.
The post linked to a new website saying the project was “coming soon” and soliciting donations.
