Taylor Frankie Paul revealed which of her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives costars have been supportive during her “lowest” moment.
Taylor, 31, returned to Instagram on Sunday, March 29, to share a video of her practicing piano and wrote over the clip, “I was just playing around and I found I kinda like this.”
“Learned this today for no reason.. I think I have a real future in piano,” she added.
Her Mormon Wives costar Demi Engemann described the music as “so therapeutic” and asked her to perform “‘True Colors’ next,” seemingly in reference to Taylor’s recent domestic dispute with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
“Thank you for checking in on me as much as you have and for the wellness gift,” Taylor responded to Demi. “You and Jessi [Draper], I’ll never forget, didn’t leave my side at my lowest.”
Jessi has been embroiled in her own drama due to her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura filing for divorce on March 19.
Earlier this month, Hulu paused production on Mormon Wives season 5 when explosive video from Taylor’s 2023 domestic violence arrest surfaced. (Taylor pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault charge in 2023 so other charges would be dropped.)
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah also confirmed to Us that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” relating to an alleged incident with Taylor and Dakota from this past February. Police confirmed that “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties.”
Dakota, 33, has since reported a third alleged domestic violence incident involving Taylor to Utah’s West Jordan Police Department. (The third alleged altercation took place in 2024.)
When video of the 2023 domestic dispute leaked, some content creators speculated that Taylor’s Mormon Wives costar Miranda McWhorter was responsible for releasing the footage since the reality stars have frequently beefed on the Hulu show.
Miranda, 27, quickly shot down those rumors, writing via Instagram, “Haha the first time i saw that video was the same day you all did. none of us girls have ever been in possession of it or any other evidence. my intent with my statement was not to shade taylor, but to simply address that I do not support nor condone that behavior from either party.”
She added, “i have my theories on who leaked the video, but i can promise you it wasn’t any of the women [from Mormon Wives].”
In the wake of the domestic violence controversy, ABC announced that it would not air Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette three days before it was supposed to premiere.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” an ABC spokesperson told Us on March 19.
Taylor’s rep responded by telling Us that same day, “Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security. After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
The Mormon Wives star personally broke her silence a few days later to thank fans for sending her prayers.
“I will NEVER forget the ones with me during this time,” Taylor commented on content creator Ashley Clemons’ TikTok video denouncing “bullying” on March 23. “Thank you. Prayer is exactly what pulls us through, prayer is the only reason I’m still standing.”
