Jordan Spieth’s upcoming appearance at the 2026 PGA Championship marks his 10th attempt to complete the coveted career Grand Slam.
Spieth claimed major championship titles at the Masters and U.S. Open in 2015, and a win at The Open Championship in 2017. Since then, he’s been in search of an elusive first-place finish at the PGA Championship.
Spieth’s best finish at the PGA Championship came in 2015, the best season of his PGA Tour career. He finished solo second place at Whistling Straits, three shots behind tournament champion Jason Day.
Spieth had another close call in 2019, finishing T3 at Bethpage Black. He missed the cut for the first time since 2014 last year, going 2-over through the first two rounds at Charlotte’s Quail Hollow Club.

Spieth was asked about his hunt for the career Grand Slam during a press conference on Monday.
“This tournament is always highlighted. If I can win one more tournament in my life, it would obviously be this one for that reason,” Spieth said. “But the easiest way to do that is to not try to, in a weird way, you know.”
“It would be amazing, right, because it’s just a very, very short list in history,” Spieth added. “At the same time winning the PGA itself, you get to then play in the PGA for however long they allow you to.”

Spieth finished T12 at the Masters in April. This past weekend, the 32-year-old golfer notched a T52 finish at the Truist Championship.
