Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg won NBA Rookie of the Year in a historically close vote, but he previously told Pat McAfee that his sensational rookie season was “tough” and “really mentally taxing.”
Flagg seems to be compensating for that by enjoying an incredible start to his offseason. He’s been in Turks and Caicos, as one does after taking the NBA by storm at 19 years old, and he just hard-launched his relationship with Duke basketball star Arianna Roberson.
Roberson posted a TikTok soundtracked by Beyoncé’s part in Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself.” The TikTok, which has been viewed over 6 million times as of this writing, features Flagg and Roberson in various outfits, but they’re holding hands the entire time.
In case anyone had lingering doubts about their relationship status, Flagg posted a photo of them kissing on his Instagram Story, and Roberson reposted it to her Instagram Story.
Flagg starred at Duke for one season before the Mavericks selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft last June.
En route to winning Rookie of the Year, Flagg led the Mavericks in scoring (21 points per game) and steals (1.2 per game). He also averaged 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Dallas finished 26-56 and landed the No. 9 overall pick in last weekend’s draft lottery.
Roberson averaged 8.0 points and 5.7 rebounds as a freshman for Duke last season, and the 6-foot-4 center was named to the All-ACC All-Freshman Team. She also came in second to Louisville’s Imari Berry for ACC Sixth Player of the Year. Duke reached the Elite 8 before losing to eventual champion UCLA.
