Joe Burrow, of the Met Gala and Cincinnati Bengals, made a promise that the team will win the Super Bowl this season in spite of the fact the team hasn’t made the playoffs in four years.
“We’re going to go win a lot of games this year and play great and win a Super Bowl,” he declared. The quarterback’s comments sparked a rude awakening from ESPN’s Mike Wilbon, who suggested the Bengals will play second-fiddle to the Baltimore Ravens and star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
“I don’t make much of it. … There’s no, sort of, history of the Bengals being so loaded that we’re gonna make them prohibited favorites even in their own division. Don’t see it,” he said on “Get Up” this morning.

Before declaring his team would win the Super Bowl, Burrow made it clear he believes this if the most talented roster the team has had in his career.
“I think this is the most talented roster that we’ve had since I’ve been here,” Burrow said after Wednesday’s voluntary workout. ” … We got guys that work really hard to put themselves in position to perform well, perform to our standard.
“We haven’t necessarily done that for a couple of years, so we brought some guys in who have been there and done that and have their own standard of play and are going to live up to that.”
