The 2026 NBA draft is on the way, and Michigan power forward Yaxel Lendeborg is flirting with the top 10 in mocks ahead of the event.
But, even if he goes outside the top 10, that’s okay, because he could land with a dynasty.
In a mock out on Saturday, May 23, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report gives his projections for the upcoming draft. He has the Michigan star going to the Golden State Warriors, a true dynasty of a team.

“With Steve Kerr back, Stephen Curry remaining at an elite level and Golden State preparing for another star search, the Warriors’ win-now intentions are on full display,” he states. “And prospect can present a better win-now pitch than Lendeborg, who just played a featured role in the Wolverines’ march to the title.”

Lendeborg is clearly on the older side for a prospect, seeing that he’ll be 24 as a rookie, but there’s no denying how polished his game is. He’s got some of the more versatile tools in this draft, and he doesn’t need a ton of development just to survive at the next level.
At minimum, he looks like a ready-made guy who can step into a rotation early and do the little things that help teams win. If the shot and creation keep coming along, there’s still a real path for him to grow into something much more than that over time.
