An unhinged ex was caught breaking into the Pennsylvania home of a man she briefly dated in a strange attempt to win back the victim — who said he noticed things inside his place had been mysteriously rearranged for weeks.
Lindsay Harris’s bizarre attempts at romance were uncovered after she was caught sneaking into her former flame’s Bucks County home in late June, local police said.
Cops said they spotted Harris, 30, sneaking into the man’s house through a window – carrying a bottle of red wine and some Italian water ice in preparation for what she believed would be a steamy evening, NBC Philadelphia reported.
But what Harris saw as a romantic gesture, the alarmed man saw as breaking and entering, and he quickly called 911, with cops saying they rushed over and cuffed the loony lover.
“We get a call for a woman breaking into one of our residents’ homes in Fairless Hills. We responded and sure enough, officers see a 30-year-old female crawling through a window, and they take her into custody and then we find out the whole story,” Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney told the local news station.
The lover-turned-burglar and the victim had briefly dated starting in January after the two had met on the dating app Match, but the man soon after decided to break off the relationship.
Harris, however, couldn’t take no for an answer and began to obsess over the man, cops said.
“The male decided not to continue the relationship but I guess the female wanted to continue it,” Whitney said.
Besides the late June break-in, the man told NBC 10 that he suspected Harris had visited his home multiple times, as he found many items moved around or out of place in his home.
He also told the outlet he had never given her his address.
Harris was booked and charged with stalking, trespassing and harassment, according to authorities.
