Two teenagers were taken to hospital last night after they lost control of the escooter they were riding on and were thrown onto the roadway.
The incident occurred around 7.30pm along Huntriss Road near the intersection of Boronia Street.
The teenage boys, both 14, were taken to Perth Children’s Hospital by ambulance for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The escooter the pair were both on has been seized as part of the police investigation into the incident.
Officers will examine the circumstances of the crash, including compliance with road and safety laws as the number of road accidents involving escooters continues to rise in Western Australia.
Riders must be 16 years or older to operate an e-rideable that can travel up to 25km/h, and only one person is allowed per device.
