Kyle Richards is not talking about Morgan Wade during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14.
Kyle, 55, noted that she wanted to talk with her costars during Sutton Stracke’s surrealism-themed party, which took place during the Bravo show’s premiere on Tuesday, November 19. Kyle spoke with Garcelle Beauvais initially, alluding that the media was to blame behind the speculation between herself and Morgan, 29.
“I know there’s a lot of curiosity about the person they always talk about,” Kyle said. “I’m not using her name intentionally. I don’t want to speak on anyone’s behalf except my own.”
Kyle said “right now, there’s nothing to say” regarding herself and Wade. “I wish I had some story to say but that’s just not what it is,” she continued.
Garcelle addressed the conversation in her confessional, noting that “it’s a little late” to stop saying Morgan’s name on the show.
“We’ve been talking about her,” Garcelle said, referencing Morgan’s November 2023 appearance during RHOBH season 13. “She’s been with us.”
Speculation about Kyle and Morgan started after the RHOBH split from husband Mauricio Umansky in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Garcelle clarified during Tuesday’s episode that Kyle was confirming she was “not with” Morgan.
“I’m not,” Kyle said. (Both the reality star and country singer have continued to deny any romantic involvement.)
Kyle went on to say that the continued public speculation about her and Morgan created “pressure” and “emotional distress” for her. (Kyle also appeared as Morgan’s love interest in the August 2023 “Fall In Love With Me” music video.)
“The music video wasn’t helpful either,” Garcelle replied. “It felt very, like you were playing coy.”
Kyle added, “It wasn’t just myself I was considering. It’s not my place to talk about other people. … I was still figuring things out myself. I still am.”
In a confessional, Kyle noted that she “never” questioned her sexuality until it was discussed publicly. She also told Us Weekly exclusively prior to the season 14 premiere that viewers wouldn’t get any clarity on her friendship with Morgan during the upcoming RHOBH episodes.
“What’s hard is that I can only speak on my behalf,” she said. “I’m not here to speak on anyone’s behalf but my own, especially someone who’s not signed up to do this show and doesn’t want to be spoken about on the show. So that puts me in a very different position.”
Kyle added, “So with that said, what I do address is about me personally and my journey and what I’m going through and where I am at and just not addressing her in particular, because it is just not fair to. Yeah, I have to let her speak for herself.”
Despite keeping this part of her life off RHOBH, Garcelle noted during Tuesday’s episode that people are still curious.
“Kyle doesn’t owe us, or anybody, about her sexuality and what’s going on in her life,” Garcelle said in her confessional. “But do we want to know? Yes. Inquiring minds want to know.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
