Kathy Griffin just spilled the beans on a quirky habit of her ex, Jack Black, that left her questioning his hygiene.
In a TikTok video shared on Thursday, February 27, the comedian recalled a cringeworthy moment from their brief fling in the ’90s.
In the video, Griffin, 64, revealed how she spent the night at the School of Rock actor’s Vermont apartment and took a shower the next morning. As she stepped out, she asked for a towel, only to be told by Black, 55, that the bath mat she was standing on was, in fact, her towel. “You guys, that’s straight guys,” Griffin joked. “He had one bath mat/towel that he used for both, and that was it.” Despite the hygiene mishap, Griffin quipped, “So naturally, I kept sleeping with him.”
The comedian also mentioned in the TikTok that Black was the first guy she dated who made her feel “cool” among her peers. “Other bros thought I was cool because I was dating him,” she said with a laugh. She shared a throwback photo of herself cuddling with Black on a couch to accompany the story, teasing fans by saying, “This is why you’re never gonna want to miss an episode of my new YouTube show ‘Kathy Griffin: Talk Your Head Off.'”
Fans were quick to respond in the comments section about the story, with some not even aware the duo dated.
“I think this lore needs to be more widely known,” said one fan who was seemingly out of the loop, while another stated, “I would expect nothing less from Jack Black.”
“I’m actually jealous. I love Jack Black. Did y’all laugh all the time?” to which Griffin responded, “YES.”
Others commented on Black’s youthful appearance, with one fan saying, “Okay but his face card was not declining ijs,” while another agreed, “Damn. He was hot.”
While her romance with Black may have flown under the radar for some fans, Griffin has been linked to several other stars over the years, including Quentin Tarantino and Conan O’Brien. As of now, the Emmy winner is single.
