The 2026 NFL draft is just around the corner, and Notre Dame star Jeremiyah Love is one of the players expected to be picked very early in the run.
So, where will Love end up? That’s the question, but as the draft draws closer, more NFL analysts are seeing him as a fit for one particular team.
On Friday, April 10, Nate Tice and Charles McDonald of Yahoo Sports unveiled their picks for the draft, and they have Love going to, yes, the New York Giants.
“John Harbaugh loves to have a team that can run the ball and being able to pair Love in the backfield with Cam Skattebo and Jaxson Dart would accomplish that,” Tice and McDonald state in the piece. “Skattebo is coming off a major injury to his leg from last season, giving the Giants a reasonable opportunity to add Love to the roster without overloading at the position.”
They added, “If Malik Nabers can pick up where he left off and get back to his rookie-level production, the Giants would have a talented group of young playmakers to try and be competitive with.”
This writer also agrees that Love is a perfect fit for the New York Giants. He feels like one of those draft picks that makes too much sense to overthink.

Love fits cleanly into what John Harbaugh has always wanted to build: a team that can live on the ground, stay on schedule and control games without asking the quarterback to do too much. It’s not complicated football but it’s demanding football: physical, repetitive and honest.
The appeal here is how Love would slot into a backfield that already has moving parts. Pairing him with Skattebo and Dart gives the Giants something they’ve lacked for a while: depth with intention, not desperation. Skattebo’s leg injury complicates things, but having Love around feels like real assurance.

Love doesn’t need to be a veteran on day one, either. He just needs to be the constant. Working under an offensive-minded coach like Harbaugh could be just what he needs and what the Giants need.
