And now, the song from her golden routine, Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park,” is breaking into the music charts almost 50 years after it was released in 1978.

Summers died in 2012 at the age of 63.
Her YouTube page has been filled with love from Liu fans and new listeners of her music, leaving thanks and appreciation for her song collection.
Per Chart Data on X, “MacArthur Park” has broken into the Top 10 on US iTunes and climbing following Liu’s routine to it.
One of the main reasons Liu retired from figure skating after the 2022 Beijing Games is that she felt she had no control over how she looked or what she skated to during her performances.
