Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are having a ball in their coparenting journey.
The friendly exes were spotted attending a baseball game together at Boston’s Fenway Park on Friday, July 11.
Footage shared via MLB’s X account showed Affleck, 52, and Garner, 53 sitting front row in the crowd as they watched the Boston Red Sox face off against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Two of their children — Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13 — joined their parents for the family outing. (The couple’s eldest daughter Violet did not attend the sporting game.)
“Great Red Sox family right there, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and their kids,” NESN commentator Dave O’Brien noted as NESN footage captured the occasion.
Affleck and Garner were one of Hollywood’s most famous golden couples when they exchanged vows in 2005. The duo were married for a decade before splitting in 2015 and finalizing their divorce three years later.
The actors have been known to keep things amicable despite calling it quits and enjoy a harmonious coparenting dynamic.
“I’m really lucky that I have a really good coparent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well,” Affleck praised in a March interview with GQ.
An insider exclusively spoke about this dynamic with Us Weekly in August 2024, sharing that Garner and Affleck regard their children as their top priority.
“Ben and Jennifer are friends, and they have a great coparenting relationship,” a source told Us.
The pair have a “mutual understanding that their kids come first,” the insider noted, adding that the exes “also get along really well.”
Meanwhile, the Pearl Harbor star has gushed about his role as a dad over the years.
“I am madly in love,” Affleck said about fatherhood during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September 2010. “I have the best family … I could not be luckier. I really have come right to the place where I was supposed to be. You’ve got to knock wood. I’ve gone around and I’ve taken some rights and lefts and found myself at a place that is really wonderful, and that I’m really grateful for.”
The actor also has publicly given Garner credit for being a skilled and loving mother to their three children.
“Jen is a superhero mom,” he told E! News in March 2016. “She is an amazing mother and I’m really lucky to have her as a partner to coparent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that’s what we do.”
