The Miami Hurricanes left it all on the field Monday night, falling in heartbreaking fashion to the Indiana Hoosiers in the national championship game.
Trailing 27‑21, Miami had the ball at midfield with an opportunity to drive for a potential game-winning touchdown with just under a minute remaining. However, Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck launched a deep pass down the left side of the field, which was intercepted by Jamari Sharpe, sealing the victory for Indiana.
What drew significant attention, though, was Beck’s decision immediately after the game ended. While understandably upset, he chose not to shake anyone’s hand — including Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who made a point of greeting many Miami players at midfield after the final whistle.

Beck faced significant backlash from college football fans, who criticized the quarterback’s decision as classless.
“1 million percent agree. The epitome of an entitled child!” one fan wrote.
Another added, “No class, Carson!”
“Agreed 100%. Classless,” a third fan commented.
“No class, Beck. Such a sore loser,” another said.
The interception marked Beck’s final pass of his collegiate career, which was a successful one overall. After an impressive College Football Playoff run — where the Hurricanes defeated three teams as underdogs to reach the national championship — the 23-year-old quarterback didn’t end his college career in the most professional fashion. He will likely now look to take his talents to the NFL.
