What started as a normal interaction with a neighbor walking the dog turned into wet chaos when the canine waltzed into a person’s backyard to steal a dip in the pool.
A TikTok video posted by @deekaplan on March 15 shows two homeowners outside doing yard work when a woman and her Labrador walk past. They exchange quick waves and hellos, but the dog wanted more. He trotted closer to the humans, looking like he wanted some pets, although he didn’t stop.
The woman tried to pet him as he walked past, but confusion set in. She wondered what in the world he could possibly be doing, especially since he confidently walked into their garage like he owned the place. Next thing they knew, he was in the backyard.
The video cut to a new security camera perspective of the homeowner’s backyard, revealing a pool. Soon enough, the dog started swimming from one side to the next as if he’s done it a million times before. He didn’t care who owned the pool. He needed his swim time.
When his paws reached the edge of the pool, he took a quick breather. The dog seemed to have a giant smile on his face as if he had been waiting all winter to get back in a pool. But before he could take another lap, someone appeared to be following him in the water.
A follow-up video revealed what some TikTok users pointed out from the first clip. The dog’s owner got her canine out of the water by jumping in herself. She went in clothes and all.
Luckily, the homeowners didn’t seem to mind the hilarious incident. The caption on that clip read: “The poor owner was soaked, but all laughs. Pups wanted another dip.”

TikTok users couldn’t stop cracking up at the dog’s mission. The clip amassed over 518,500 views and 32,400 likes as of Friday afternoon.
“He’s been plotting his swim,” joked one user.
A second asked: “Why did he look like he knew exactly where to go?
And a third user added: “Can you see the pool from the driveway!? He was in such a mission like he knew it was back there hahaha.”
