A commercial truck has burst into flames in the centre of Brisbane.
Emergency teams were called to the fire on Ann Street outside Central Station just before 1pm.
A spokesperson for the Queensland Fire Department said no one was inside the truck.
Images showed the flames emerging from the truck cargo canopy, with the cabin unaffected.
Witnesses said they could feel heat from the other side of Ann Street and reported extensive black smoke.
The fire was put out within minutes.
The fire was just 400 metres from a stretch of road closed by police earlier on Thursday when a “suspicious item” was found in a bush.
