Hailey Bieber remains her husband’s biggest fan.
After Justin Bieber announced he will perform at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, multiple sources exclusively tell Us Weekly that his wife was the one to encourage him to book the gig.
“Hailey was a big influence on Justin’s decision to headline Coachella,” one source close to the couple shares. “She nudged him and is always in his corner hyping him up.”
Justin, 31, has turned down offers to play at the Indio, California, event in the past, but after releasing two albums this summer, Swag and Swag II, without the help of his former manager Scooter Braun, he figured it was now or never.
“He feels this is the best way to share his new music with fans and is very excited about the opportunity,” the source says. “He is more in control of his career. He doesn’t have people making decisions for him anymore. Hailey assured him now is the best time and has been incredibly supportive.”
A second insider concurs, “Hailey was definitely the driving force behind Justin doing Coachella. As someone who grew up on his music, she always reminds him that he’s the Justin Bieber. She knows firsthand how much it means to his fans to see him back on stage, so she was like, ‘You have to do this!’”
Although Coachella is nearly seven months away (Justin is scheduled to perform on two Saturday nights, April 11 and 18), the pop star has already started planning “what his show will look like, including putting together his setlist,” according to the second insider.
“He wants to showcase his Swag albums but will also do a lot of his older hits,” the insider teases. “The goal is to make it a celebration of his career and where he’s at now. He’s already throwing out ideas for special guests too.”
Rolling Stone reported on Tuesday, September 16, that Justin booked Coachella without an agent, instead working directly with promoter Goldenvoice to negotiate a $10 million-plus payday for his first major concert since his canceled 2022 Justice Tour.
“Justin feels he is having a rebirth in this new era,” the first source tells Us. “He isn’t calling it a ‘comeback’ but feels it’s a chance for fans to see a different side of him in this new chapter. He feels like he’s been given a second chance to redefine himself and finally step into the man he was always meant to be.”
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Justin and Hailey for comment.
Coachella revealed its full 2026 lineup on Tuesday, with Sabrina Carpenter and Colombian singer Karol G serving as the two-weekend festival’s other headliners. Additional performers include The Strokes, Addison Rae and Young Thug.
