Wisconsin led early last week before taking a 24-10 loss at then-No. 20 Michigan to fall to 0-2 in Big Ten Conference play. The Badgers’ struggling offense mustered only 252 total yards in the loss, with Dillin Jones running for 63 yards and Wisconsin’s only touchdown on 17 carries. Hunter Simmons was 18-of-29 for 177 yards and an interception, completing nine passes to Vinny Anthony II for 97 yards. The Badgers have lost three straight in the rivalry with the Hawkeyes.

Iowa comes off a bye week after a 20-15 homecoming loss to then-No. 11 Indiana on Sept. 27 that dropped the Hawkeyes to 1-1 in the Big Ten. Iowa had run off two straight wins following a loss at then-No. 16 Iowa State in the Cy-Hawk Series on Sept. 6. The team’s lone Power 4 win came at Rutgers on Sept. 19. Quarterback Mark Gronowski has thrown for 636 yards and three touchdowns so far while Jaziun Patterson leads a balanced run game with 198 yards on 34 carries. Four backs have at least 150 rushing yards, including Gronowski, who has scored seven touchdowns.
