Two of the best teams in the WNBA will square off Wednesday night at Gateway Center Arena as the Atlanta Dream (24-13) hosts the Las Vegas Aces (25-14) in a battle for the No. 2 seed in the WNBA playoffs.

The Dream dropped to 13-10 after a late July loss to the Aces, and has since gone on an 11-3 run to shoot up the standings. Their last win was a 78-62 drubbing of the New York Liberty in which the Dream dominated the glass, securing 17 offensive rebounds. They also controlled the ball extremely well, turning it over just five times for the game. Allisha Gray led the team in scoring with 19, while Brionna Jones added 17.

Las Vegas has been on a similar trajectory after getting embarrassed 111-58 against the Minnesota Lynx on August 2nd, and then winning 11 in a row. Their previous win came on Monday, a 79-74 road win against the Chicago Sky. Jackie Young led the team with 22 points, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks, with A’ja Wilson chipping in with 18 points and nine rebounds.

This is the final matchup of the season between these two teams, with the Aces taking both of the previous two matchups, including a 74-72 win on August 19th.
