Iran is willing to consider compromises to sign a deal with the U.S. over its nuclear program, an Iranian minister has said.
Tehran is ready to discuss its position if Washington looks at loosening sanctions on the country, deputy Iranian foreign minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi told the BBC.
U.S. President Donald Trump has said he wants to reach an agreement with Iran to clamp down on its nuclear program, while building up U.S. military forces in the Middle East and threatening military action if both sides cannot settle on terms of a deal.
The ball is “in America’s court to prove that they want to do a deal,” Takht-Ravanchi said. “If they are sincere, I’m sure we will be on the road to an agreement.”
