Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s newfound romance has her Last Showgirl costar Jamie Lee Curtis’ full support.
Curtis, 66, got teary-eyed in a recent interview with VT as she weighed in on The Naked Gun duo’s relationship. (Us Weekly confirmed on Tuesday, July 29, that the costars are dating.)
“If love has found their way into that relationship, God bless them both!” the Freakier Friday star said in a clip shared via TikTok on Monday, August 4. “Leave them the f*** alone and let them like each other!”
“Because both of them have had hardship and they’re both beautiful human [beings] … makes me cry,” Curtis continued, her voice slightly cracking.
The actress went on, “They’re beautiful human beings. If they have actually found an intimate love with each other, we should all go to bed tonight feeling better.”
Curtis gushed that Anderson, 58, is a “beautiful person,” recalling their work together on the awards season favorite The Last Showgirl, which earned Anderson a Golden Globe nomination for best actress earlier this year.
“She was fantastic, but she’s a beautiful human being,” the Halloween star reiterated.
“And he, he also suffered, you know, unimaginable loss so young,” she said, referring to Neeson, 73, whose late wife Natasha Richardson died in 2009 after she suffered a head injury while skiing in Canada.
Curtis added, “He’s had a really hard go of it. So, if in fact these people have hard-launched, then wish them the best and leave them alone.”
Following the pair’s flirty press tour, a source confirmed Anderson and Neeson sparked a romance after meeting on the set of their recent hit comedy, The Naked Gun.
“Pamela and Liam are dating,” the source told Us, adding that “always had chemistry while they were filming and their friendship naturally developed into more.”
The insider said that the couple are still “learning how to navigate” their blossoming romance while in the public eye. “They are both shy and have tried to stay private, but the spark between them is obvious,” the source explained.
Anderson’s sons, Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27, are fully in support of their mom’s new man. “[They] love seeing her happy and fully approve,” the insider said, adding that the boys “think Liam is great and have gotten to know him better in the last few months.” (Anderson shares her sons with ex-husband Tommy Lee.)
