Police say a man is in a critical condition after he was allegedly hit by a stolen car in West Australia’s far north on Saturday morning.

The man was driving a ute and towing a caravan when he stopped at a petrol station on Great Northern Highway in the Halls Creek town centre.
The 76-year-old got out of his car and was inspecting the caravan when police allege someone got in his car and drove off, hitting the man.
“The 76-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown via the Royal Flying Doctor Service to the Royal Darwin Hospital for medical treatment,” a WA police spokesperson said.
