Megan Fox is taking the lead when it comes to figuring out her coparenting dynamic with ex Machine Gun Kelly.
“Megan is allowing MGK to be there and be in their daughter’s life,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “It’s all her rules, under her roof right now and has been on his best behavior. She’s just focused on their baby and is so in love.”
Kelly, 34, announced their daughter’s arrival on Thursday, March 27. “She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed 🥹💓♈️♓️♊️ . 3/27/25,” Kelly wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a video of the little one.
The insider adds that despite calling it quits late last year, the former couple are “in a good place” with their newest addition. Kelly, the source says, has been “helpful” with their newborn, making “a huge effort” and is a “great dad.” However, the insider notes that Fox, 38, is “not taking MGK back at this point.”
“He has expressed he wants to make it work between them again, but she is not caving in,” the source shares. “Megan feels at peace and closed the door on the relationship.”
A separate source tells Us that Kelly has been staying with Fox after she gave birth to their daughter and “want to spend all the time they can” with her.
“They have both really softened to each other,” the insider says, “but Megan hasn’t forgotten the past.”
The source adds that while Megan was “worried “that she was giving birth while Mercury was in retrograde, both she and the baby are “happy and healthy.”
Kelly and Fox, who got engaged in 2022, went their separate ways shortly after she revealed her pregnancy in November 2024. At the time, a source exclusively told Us that the duo were “doing their best to cope in their own ways after calling it quits.”
Kelly previously welcomed Noah, Bodhi and Journey with ex-husband Brian Austin Green in 2012, 2014 and 2016, respectively. Kelly, for his part, is dad to daughter Casie, whom he welcomed with ex Emma Cannon in 2009.
While Kelly and Fox have yet to unveil their baby’s name, the musician clarified days after the announcement that the moniker is not “celestial seed,” the phrase he used to describe the newborn in his birth announcement.
“Wait guys…her name isn’t ‘Celestial Seed,’” Kelly wrote via his Instagram Story on Monday, March 31, alongside a crying laughing emoji. “Her mom is gonna tell you the name when we’re ready.”
