It’s still summer, but as August draws to a close, many of us can feel the tendrils of fall creeping in. But you don’t have to say goodbye to summer fun just yet!
If you’re looking for one last fling before returning to the real world, we recommend Netflix’s new movie, Fall for Me, a German erotic thriller set in Mallorca, a sun-drenched island off the coast of Spain.
Here’s why the Watch With Us team recommends watching Fall for Me on Netflix before the summer officially ends.
The Premise Is Deliciously Soapy Fun
Fall for Me is the story of two sisters — Lilli (Svenga Jung) and Valeria (Tijan Marei) and the lovers they meet in Mallorca, Manu (Victor Meutelet) and Tom (Theo Trebs). Valeria has moved full time to the island, and when Lilli visits her for the first time, she’s immediately suspicious of Manu, with whom Valeria is planning to buy a sprawling estate and start a bed and breakfast. (All Valeria has to do is sell the land their late mother left her on the island.) Lilli is distracted from her suspicion, though, because she’s also immediately smitten with Tom, the sexy bartender at a local club.
Before too long, a scam is uncovered — both men are part of an interconnected ring of swindlers who seduce women for financial gain. But there’s more to the story than you think, especially as real emotions get involved — double and triple crosses make this a twisty and unpredictable ride.
‘Fall for Me’ Is a Lush, Escapist Fantasy
Despite the property scams at work, Fall for Me might make you consider buying a place in Mallorca. The whole movie is a visual feast, but the island is the main course — from the sparkling oceans to the craggy beaches to the exquisite villa.
If what you’re seeking is a summer vacation feeling, then Fall for Me will absolutely deliver — with a healthy dose of drama on the side.
‘Fall for Me’ Leans into the ‘Erotic’ Part of Erotic Thriller
The cast members of Fall for Me are all stunningly good-looking, and the camera knows it. The sexy encounters between the two couples are a little kinky, a little risqué — and they’re all tinged with a sinister undercurrent of manipulation. If you’re someone who enjoys genuinely erotic erotic thrillers, like 9 ½ Weeks, Basic Instinct or Babygirl, then Fall for Me is for you — it’s sexy and surprising without feeling ridiculously gratuitous.
If you enjoy watching beautiful people in beautiful places doing morally questionable things, check out Fall for Me on Netflix now.
