Just when we thought Masters week had given enough shocking moments, a 38-year-old Billy Horschel stole the spotlight with a bizarre yet endearing encounter at the RBC Heritage.
No, it was not snatching away a fan’s phone or peeing at the course. But rather a painful and hilarious encounter of a PGA Tour pro and spectator at the RBC Heritage.
It happened when Horschel’s tee shot on the par-4 10th hole took an unexpected detour, hitting a female spectator’s leg on Thursday.
The ball bounced back off of her leg toward the fairway, leaving her leg swollen and her in pain. Shockingly, Horschel didn’t even realize what he did until the TGL pro went near his ball in the rough and was informed about the incident.
The news quickly impacted Horchel, resulting in him apologizing to the fan and showcasing Horschel’s charismatic personality.
The PGA Tour pro went on to sign the injured fan’s leg, turning an unpleasant situation into a memorable one. The crowd erupted in laughter, and the injured fan couldn’t help but smile and giggle.
Interestingly, it was not only Billy Horschel who went through such a situation. We have John Daly on the list, as well!
John Daly autographs on a female fan’s buttocks
Well, it looks like Billy Horschel was not the first PGA Tour golfer to autograph on a fan’s bare skin, as we had the Bad Boy of the golf world do it way before.
John Daly has always been known for his larger-than-life attitude, and a 2019 Masters encounter proved no exception. That year, when Tiger Woods snagged the green jacket for the fifth time, Daly too made his mark – literally.
In a Hooters parking lot near Augusta, Daly signed an autograph on a fan’s bare hip, showcasing his unapologetic charm and willingness to push boundaries.
The PGA Tour professional even went on and posted the image on his Instagram account with the caption:
“All I can say is ….I love my life!”
