Queensland police hope to formally identify human remains found in the search for missing teenager Pheobe Bishop on Saturday, as they revealed the remains would be consistent with the timeline of her disappearance.
Pheobe, 17, disappeared on May 15 after failing to board a flight at Bundaberg Airport, north of Brisbane, bound for Perth, where she was to visit her boyfriend.
The disappearance prompted a wide search of the Gin Gin area, as her distraught family and police pushed for more information from the public.

Police this week arrested her two housemates, James Wood, 34, and Tanika Bromley, 33, who were charged with murder and interfering with a corpse.
Detectives believe Pheobe’s body was moved more than once, with one of the locations being the Good Night Scrub National Park near Gin Gin, police said on Friday.

Overnight, police confirmed they had found what were believed to be human remains in the park. While they were yet to be formally identified, investigators said they were in contact with Pheobe’s family.
Speaking from the Bundaberg Police Station on Saturday morning, Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said a crime scene had been established where the remains were found, and further forensic testing was continuing.
“During the day, that additional testing and examination will occur with a view of not only formally identifying those remains, but also supporting our brief of evidence in our investigation to date,” he said, adding that police hoped to identify the remains on Saturday.
