Sharon Osbourne made a rare public appearance in the months after her husband Ozzy Osbourne died — with daughter Kelly Osbourne by her side.
Sharon, 73, and Kelly, 41, attended the Wednesday, November 26, cocktail party for designer Rebecca Vallance’s eponymous brand in London.
Sharon opted for a glittering burgundy gown, which matched her signature red bob. Kelly, for her part, sparkled in a Barbie-pink halter dress with silver studs dotting the bodice.
“Had the best time with my mum and @rebeccavallancegasan at the @rebeccavallance new launch. I have never worn a dress like it before,” Kelly gushed via Instagram several hours later. “It took me out of my comfort zone of black and made my bubblegum pink dreams come true. Her dresses always make me feel amazing.”
Kelly also noted that Sharon “looked beautiful” in her own frock from Vallance’s collection.
“I thought my mum looked beautiful and it was so nice to see her have a little fun,” Kelly added. “Thank you thank you thank you, Rebecca, we love you soooooo much!”
Wednesday’s outing marked the mother-daughter pair’s first public appearance since Ozzy died in July. He was 76.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family shared in a statement to Us Weekly. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
Ozzy, who battled Parkinson’s disease ahead of his death, is survived by wife Sharon, his six children and multiple grandchildren. Ozzy and Sharon shared Kelly, Jack and Aimee, while the late rocker also had three older children from his previous marriage.
Sharon and Ozzy’s children laid the Black Sabbath frontman to rest in England later in July, and, since then, they have been vocal about their grief.
“Tomorrow is going to be a first for me. The first birthday without my dad,” Kelly wrote via Instagram last month before her 41st birthday. “Every year the thing I look forward to the most was spending the day with him and the cards he would write to me.”
She continued, “Knowing that I will never get one again shatters my heart. They were always short, simple but said everything I needed to hear. I love you, Daddy, tomorrow will suck without you.”
Kelly has also found that other family moments are difficult without Ozzy.
“We are meant to be putting up the tree today,” Kelly wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, November 28, sharing throwback footage of Ozzy decorating for Christmas. “It won’t be the same.”
In a follow-up clip, Kelly acknowledged that she was “having a really s*** day.”
“Look who showed up? My Lou Lou,” she gushed, sharing a hug with her half-brother Louis Osbourne. “My big brother! I love you so much, Louis.”
Louis, 50, subsequently asked whether there was a filter on the social media snap.
“Yes, we have to look perfect because I look like s*** right now,” Kelly quipped.
