Saturday Night Live writer Jimmy Fowlie is offering more details about the last time he heard from missing sister Christina Lynn Downer.
“Christina is very attached to her dog Rex. He’s a min pin and if you see her chances are he’d be with her,” Fowlie captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday, December 23. “Last seen in Koreatown. I heard from her on Nov 26th. She was active on social media up to Dec 15th.”
He added, “At this time the detectives have advised us not to share certain details so we don’t compromise the case. Thank you to everyone who has gotten the word out. I’ll share updates as I get them.”
Fowlie concluded his caption with a plea to fans, asking them to reach out to the Los Angeles Police Department with any more information.
Fowlie made headlines on Monday, December 22, when he asked the public for help finding Downer, whom he believes to be missing after not hearing from her for nearly one month.
“My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe,” he wrote on Monday. “Her married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie. Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police.”
Us Weekly has reached out to the LAPD for additional comment.
Fowlie continued to share the LAPD’s press releases via his Instagram Stories. The 38-year-old Downer has black hair and brown eyes, is 5-foot-1 and weighs approximately 115 pounds, one report stated.
Her last known contact with a friend came on December 10, per the police department. She has not been seen or heard from since her last location in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.
“The family wants the public to be aware that Christina Downer has no known medical conditions and has not gone missing before,” one press release read.
Several SNL stars and other L.A.-based stars have since shared Fowlie’s message on social media.
Fowlie’s SNL career started in 2022 and he has become known for writing one of the’s show’s more recent viral characters, Domingo, who is played by cast member Marcello Hernández. He wrote the sketch alongside Ceara O’Sullivan, which secured them both a spot on Vulture’s list of the Best New Up-and-Coming Comedians of 2025, which was released in September.
When asked about the “most earnest goal” of his career, Fowlie had a seriously honest answer.
“To get a brand deal that’s not sex toys or HIV medicine,” he told Vulture at the time. Fowlie also revealed what he hopes to see more of in the comedy world going forward.
“I would love to see more big, dumb comedies that waste people’s time. Remember Weekend at Bernie’s?” he said. “There was a whole movie where a dead man danced for 90 minutes. Let’s get back to that. (I checked on the rights and they are available — 20th, please hit me up! I have a take and a title: Weekend at Bernadette’s.)”
