The Tunnel to Towers Steel Across America tour landed at Boston’s Fenway Park Wednesday night, giving Red Sox fans a chance to see a preserved section of the World Trade Center.
The 21-foot steel beam from the South Tower of the World Trade Center has been on a tour across America since May, and it is scheduled to finish its journey in New York City just after Sept. 11.
“It brings up a lot of memories, and, honestly, reading that and talking to the firemen over there, it can give me chills. It gives me chills,” Fenway vendor David Littlefield said of the display.
