Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, reunited to celebrate their son, Charlie, winning a state championship at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Florida.
The pair attended Charlie’s ring ceremony, joining him on stage for a photo in front of a school-branded backdrop.
Charlie, 17, appears to be following in his dad’s footsteps in golf, though he is still an amateur. He earned his first American Junior Golf Association tournament win in May 2025, winning the Team TaylorMade Invitational. That summer, he placed ninth in the Junior PGA Championship.
Earlier in February, Charlie committed to play golf at Florida State University beginning in 2027. Tiger, 50, played golf at Stanford University, where his and Nordegren’s daughter, Sam, 18, is a freshman.
“It’s been very different, the recruiting process,” Tiger told ESPN in December 2025. “Now, you have cellphones. We didn’t have cellphones. We would have written letters that would show up in the mailbox. It’s just very different how fast coaches can communicate with the family members and the player that they’re trying to recruit.”
He continued, “It’s just a different world. Not saying it’s good or bad, it’s just different.”
The father-son duo have also competed together, including at the PNC Championship in 2024. Though they didn’t win the tournament, it meant Tiger was on-hand to see Charlie hit his first hole-in-one.
“It’s one of the highlights that we’ve ever had,” Tiger told NBC Sports at the time. “We were talking on the hole previous, he made his first eagle. And now he just made his first hole-in-one. It was a magical two hole stretch. I’m just so happy for him and for the enjoyment that we had as a family.”
Tiger and Nordegren, 46, married in 2004 but divorced in 2010 when it was revealed that Tiger was carrying on multiple affairs.
Nordegren is now in a relationship with former NFL player Jordan Cameron, whom she began dating in 2017. The couple share three children — son Arthur, 6, and daughters Zeta, 3 and Freya, who was born in 2024. Cameron is also the father of a son from a previous relationship.
As for Tiger, he is now in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, ex-wife of President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
The president, 79, said he approves of the relationship, which reportedly began around Thanksgiving 2024.
“I love Tiger and Vanessa,” he told reporters in March 2025.
“Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship,” Trump added. “They have incredible children, five incredible children, all good athletes, all great students. And they broke up quite a while ago, which was, to me, very sad, because I think they’re both right.” (The former couple share kids Kai, 18, Donald III, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.)
“I played golf with him a couple of times over the last month, and he’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete,” Trump continued. “And he told me about it, and I said, ‘Tiger, that’s good.’ I’m very happy for both [of them]. Let them both be happy. Let them both be happy. They’re both great.”
