The family of a dead Nvidia AI researcher has been left baffled by an official ruling that he committed suicide — and demanded his cremation is halted.
Irfan Al-Hussaini, 32, was found unconscious in his Palo Alto home in July and died eight days later.
His family says the official ruling he killed himself does not make sense, pointing to him delivering a professional presentation hours before he was found.
“So he was fine. Everyone thought he did a good job. Everything seemed normal,” his sister told NBC Bay Area. His friends also doubt he committed suicide, according to a petition calling for justice for him.
