Trader Joe’s beloved mini tote is coming back — with new colors for spring.
The grocery store chain confirmed that the viral object of grocery shopping desire will return to stores across the country in April.
“The exact date they will be available in each neighborhood Trader Joe’s will vary,” the company told USA TODAY.
The bite-sized bags will stay priced at $2.99, but this time will come in new colors — pastel shades of blue, pink, purple and green.
Trader Joe’s advised customers to ask a Crew Member in their neighborhood store about availability.
The Reno Gazette and Journal reported that at least one area Trader Joe’s location will begin stocking the fashionable faves on April 7 — with a limit of 2 per customer.
In March 2024, the 13 x 11 x 6 in. carriers quickly became a sensation — with customers waiting in long lines just to get their hands on one.
They were even being resold on eBay at astronomical prices due to the high demand.
One TikTok user previously shared a video of a huge group of people crowding around as employees brought the display into the store — getting ready to pounce before the bags were even on the floor.
At the time, one listing offered a set of the cute carriers in all four colors — for a whopping $500.
Another listing was selling just one teensy tote for a giant price tag of $280.
“The adorable totes in question are made of the same heavy-duty, 65% cotton/35% polyester blend as our larger, classic Canvas Bags,” the product page said — noting that the bags also have the same “long, comfortable handles.”
The only real difference, the company stated, is the diminutive size.
After selling out last March, the limited-edition item was restocked in September — and sold out just as quickly.
