An Illinois mother charged with murdering her 2-year-old son had reportedly become “very invested” in Lindsay Clancy ’s high-profile murder trial in the weeks before the killing — a case with disturbing parallels to her own alleged crime.
Corie Walsh was arrested on September 1, 2026, after her son, Barrett, was found hanging from a rafter in the basement of the family’s Frankfort, Illinois, home, according to the Frankfort Police Department. Walsh has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and denied pretrial release. She has also retained one of Casey Anthony ’s former defense attorneys to represent her.
