Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu may be settling their score inside one of the most unforgiving structures in WWE history. According to a report from Self Made Pro on March 26, WWE is planning to place the McIntyre and Fatu rivalry in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 42.
“Sources close to the situation indicate that Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu is expected to take place at WrestleMania 42, with the bout likely set to be contested inside Hell in a Cell,” the report states.
Nothing has been officially confirmed by WWE, but the direction internally is said to be clear. Given the nature of the feud so far, the stipulation would feel like a natural extension of what the two have already done to each other.

Their March 20 SmackDown brawl required no formal match structure to produce violence. McIntyre smashed Fatu’s windshield and dragged him out of his car before the fight spilled out of the arena entirely, ending with both men crashing off a guardrail to the floor below. SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis is expected to address the status of both men on this Friday’s show from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
The feud has taken on a personal and unpredictable quality that has set it apart from a typical WrestleMania build. A Hell in a Cell stipulation would put walls around that chaos and channel it into a single, definitive confrontation, giving the match a clear structure while preserving the rivalry’s violent tone.
Hell in a Cell matches at WrestleMania have been relatively rare, making the potential placement of this match inside the structure a significant statement about how seriously WWE is treating the program. If confirmed, it would represent one of the more unique additions to the WrestleMania 42 card.
WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
