To the surprise of some, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers pushed off retirement for one more year, deciding that the 2026 season would be his last.
Rodgers had kept the Steelers on the hook for months this offseason while he took his time mulling over whether or not he was ready to walk away from the NFL.
But the decision wasn’t his to make alone. According to Rodgers himself, his wife Brittani, who many are skeptical even exists because she’s never been seen publicly with the future Hall of Fame QB, also played a big role in his future.
“There was some doubt for sure,” Rodgers stated. “But I had some good conversations with Mike, going back to when he was hired. Yeah it was nice to come back it felt different than last year because I knew some of the guys and some of the people who work here.
“I had a lot of conversations with Mike and (GM) Omar (Khan) for a while. Just had a lot of conversations with my wife about it, and after the draft, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to play, wanted to come back.”
What’s Known About Rodgers’ Wife?
Rodgers first mentioned Brittani in December 2024, admitting that he was in a relationship.
By June 2025, Rodgers revealed the couple had married in secret a few months earlier. Fans spotted a wedding band on his hand during his appearance at the Kentucky Derby.
Aside from a few other minute details divulged by Rodgers like Brittani said she would never want to live in Green Bay, and she doesn’t want to be a player’s wife, not much else is known about her.
As Rodgers has stated multiple times before, she doesn’t want to live in the public eye.
“My private life is staying private,” Rodgers stated on the “Pat McAfee Show” last June. “I’m with somebody who wants to be private.”
