Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile announced that she has “no choice” but to reschedule her upcoming U.K. and European tour due to “personal circumstances.”
“I need to let you know that due to personal circumstances, I have no choice but to reschedule my UK and European tour from this fall to the spring,” Carlile, 45, announced via Instagram on Friday, August 7. “I have been so profoundly anxious about this decision and I’m aware that this change may be disappointing and inconvenient for many of you, especially those of you who were planning on traveling internationally, but I am hoping this gives you all enough time to adjust any plans.”
The “Right on Time” singer was originally supposed to kick off a European leg of her Human tour in Dublin on October 15, before hitting venues in London, Amsterdam and Stockholm, among other cities, through early November.
Some venues for the new spring 2027 tour have changed, meaning that original ticketholders will be refunded and will then have to repurchase tickets. A full list of rescheduled European tour dates is available on Carlile’s website.
“My team has been working really hard behind the scenes to reschedule the tour with as little disruption as possible,” Carlile explained. “However, due to availability, a few of the venues have changed, but we thought it was more important to get back over there and play these shows as soon as we possibly could. The good news is, this has also enabled us to add more shows which I couldn’t be more excited to play!”
Unfortunately, the musician has had to outright cancel one date at Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, Portugal — originally scheduled for November 1 — because of a lack of availability for rescheduling.
“To my beloved Portuguese fans, sadly Lisbon was the only show that we could not make work with these rescheduled dates,” she confirmed. “I’m so sorry and I promise we will do everything in our power to get back to you as soon as we can.”
The good news for fans in the U.S. is that they will still be able to catch Carlile on the road throughout the summer and early fall, as domestic concert dates have not been impacted. Carlile is currently scheduled to continue her headlining U.S. tour — including three dates at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado — through September 27, when she wraps up the Human trek with a featured slot at the All Things Go Festival DC in Columbia, Maryland.
“Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I want nothing more than to see my friends across the pond and I have done everything in my power to avoid rescheduling this tour,” she promised U.K. and European fans on Friday. “I sincerely hope you’ll all come back and see me in the spring. I promise I will make it up to you and that it will be worth the wait!”
Carlile is touring to promote her 2025 record, Returning to Myself, which scored the singer-songwriter her fifth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart when it hit No. 7 last November. Returning to Myself features high-profile collaborations with Elton John, producer Andrew Watt, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
