Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka is attempting to claw his way back into the good graces of the PGA Tour – and its signature events.
Ahead of the Zurich Classic, Koepka was in good standing as the first alternate and could have locked in appearances in signature events with a good finish. However, he and teammate Shane Lowry surprisingly failed to make the cut and Koepka tumbled in the alternate standings.
As he attempts to rise in the standings, Koepka will be a late addition to the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, which is set to tee off on May 7, 2026, a week before the PGA Championship, of which he’s a three-time winner.

“A nice get for the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic: Brooks Koepka will tee it up in the event next week (opposite the Truist Championship). Koepka is looking to qualify his way into the @PGATOUR’s remaining Signature tournaments. Currently 59th in the standings,” golf insider Josh Carpenter said.
The ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic appeared to hint at the news with an eyes emoji about an hour and a half before Carpenter revealed the latest scheduling news for the five-time major champion.
It later officially announced Koepka’s return.
“Welcome to the field, @BKoepka!” the account said.
Koepka missed the cut in two of the last three events, but finished in a tie for 12th at the Masters earlier this month following a strong showing.
