Toronto police have launched a homicide investigation after a woman was shot inside a downtown apartment building Saturday morning. Officers were called to the area of Jarvis Street and Dundas Street East at about 9:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting, according to a media release from Toronto Police Service.A woman was found inside an apartment unit suffering from a gunshot wound.Life-saving measures were performed at the scene before paramedics rushed the victim to hospital, where she died.
