NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch’s commitment to cleaning up the Big Apple led to a significant spike in tickets for public drinking, urinating and other quality-of-life violations this year, according to new data. The NYPD issued 220,802 quality-of-life summonses in the fiscal year ending June 30 — up 13% from 196,102 the year before and more than triple the 67,408 tickets written in fiscal year 2022, according to the Mayor’s Management Report released Thursday.
