As frustration over spending and government waste grows in California, many Los Angeles voters say they no longer trust elected leaders to responsibly manage taxpayer money ahead of the 2026 election cycle. “No,” one voter said when asked whether Californians can trust their leaders anymore. “You look at the last four years … based on their track record, they’ve failed.” Several residents pointed to crumbling infrastructure, homelessness spending and controversial public projects as examples of what they see as government mismanagement.
