A bougie cinema chain has sparked outrage after introducing a new ordering policy that means customers can use their cell phones to buy snacks during films – and critics have called on chiefs to “save the sanctuary.” Alamo Drafthouse made the switch to QR codes earlier this year, but the move has proved controversial, the New York Times reported.  Previously, film fanatics would place their orders on a piece of card and this would be collected by the staffer.
