Jurors in the trial of Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy could be forced to look at gruesome autopsy photos of the three children she’s accused of strangling with exercise bands — with her heartbroken husband expected to be called to take the stand, court documents show.
Prosecutors plan to show chilling videos and photos from inside the family’s Duxbury home taken after the 35-year-old mom is accused of carrying out the heartless slayings on Jan. 24, 2023, and take jurors on a walk-through of the house.
The distressing 911 phone call her husband, Patrick, made will also be played for jurors, according to court documents filed last week.
Clancy, a former nurse, allegedly strangled kids Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan before slicing her own neck and wrists and jumping out of a second-story window at her home.
Patrick was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher when he finally discovered the children in the basement — and as police were headed down the stairs, was heard crying, “She killed the kids!”
Clancy, now a paraplegic, has claimed she was overmedicated and suffering from severe postpartum psychosis when she committed the unthinkable act.
She is planning to ask a jury to find her not guilty by reason of insanity.
