Dozens of drivers in a Sacramento suburb are dealing with damaged and flat tires after hundreds of screws were found scattered over a highway overpass.
The city of Elk Grove received numerous reports Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning of damaged tires from the loose screws, KCRA reported.
The city’s police department received a call and sent officers to the area, but those dispatched reported that traffic was flowing normally.
One driver who’s been forced to pay up for the damage said that when she visited a tire shop, she found at least 45 people ahead of her, potentially dealing with the same damage.
