Summer House stars Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke are sharing where they stand after announcing their split earlier this month.

Batula, 34, and Cooke, 43, opened up about their new dynamic as exes during a Tuesday, January 27, episode of SiriusXM’s Front Row series. When cohost Kiki Monique asked the former couple how they were doing, Batula replied, “Yeah, we’re good. And that’s it.”

She elaborated, “It’s … easier to get along. But we’re good. We talk all the time. We’re both traveling. So I’m watching the dogs. He’s watching the dogs. We’re coparenting the dogs together. Still call him if I have questions.”

Cooke also detailed how he’s been feeling, sharing that there was “a weight lifted.”

“Every step we’ve taken, there’s a little bit of, like, a weight has been lifted,” he confessed. “And ironically, I feel like this last week, having kind of pressed post together, it felt like we were a little more lighthearted.”

He continued, “I mean, look, more than anything, I want her to be happy. I want us both to be happy.”

Cooke then gave an example of why Batula recently gave him a call. “Her smoke alarm was going off. I’m like, ‘Maybe call your building management,’” he quipped. Batula then noted that she didn’t “know” what to do in the citation and “panicked.”

“I had the windows open. I was standing on a chair waving my towel. My neighbors were just staring at me. I was panicked,” she explained. “Also, I was high.”

Monique then suggested Batula and Cooke ask Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz for advice on coparenting their two dogs, as the pair who divorced in 2022 did the same.

“Yeah. Well, I don’t know who we should be asking advice from,” Cooke said. Ciara Miller then hilariously suggested the duo see “a licensed therapist,” to which Cooke replied, “We’re creating our own blueprint.”

Cooke previously broke his silence on their split earlier this month, telling “Hollywood Raw” podcast host Adam Glyn, “I think people will be surprised but also happy to see that Amanda and I are in a good spot.” He added, “Obviously the internet’s gonna do its thing, but you know, we literally pushed send together.”

Batula and Cooke announced their split earlier this month via a joint Instagram statement.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” the statement began. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

The Bravo stars added, “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”

Batula and Cooke met in 2015 and have been candid about their rocky relationship throughout the years, both on camera and off. In 2018, Cooke cheated on Batula while drunk. That same year, they got engaged during an episode of Summer House. The pair tied the knot in 2021 in New Jersey.
