Nursing homes across the country serve as a place for aging people to be cared for with dignity. More than medical facilities, these are homes where families can trust that their loved ones are safe and getting the best possible care.

Deciding which nursing home is the best option can be difficult, with 15,300 nursing homes and over 1.6 million licensed beds in the United States to choose from, according to the most recent data from the CDC. This is why Newsweek and Statista are pleased to have the opportunity for the fifth year to evaluate America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2026.

Last year’s list evaluated the top 1,050 facilities across the 25 states with the highest number of facilities. This year, we aim to provide the same thorough evaluation of this important industry.

Newsweek and Statista appreciate your participation in this survey.

This survey is open for participation through Monday, August 4, 2025.
