WASHINGTON — The official campaign Instagram account of Arizona Democratic congressional hopeful JoAnna Mendoza bizarrely followed multiple OnlyFans models, witchcraft accounts, and sexually explicit content producers.

Mendoza at one point followed a dozen accounts that frequently share sexually explicit content, including a transgender socialist who is known for sharing images of sex toys, according to screenshots of the follows taken and reviewed by The Post.

Her official Instagram account has nearly 12,000 followers and is following 1,230 users. She is still following several of the accounts in question.

Mendoza is a Marine veteran who is hoping to unseat Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-Ariz.) in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, which the Cook Political Report election handicapper rates as a tossup.

Before vying for Congress, Mendoza previously served as the executive director of the Arizona Center for Economic Progress and worked in various political consulting roles.

One of the X-rated follows on her campaign was Brianna Westbrook, a transgender socialist activist who previously ran for office in Arizona and once served as a surrogate for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)

Westbrook has made numerous posts on Instagram with BDSM gear and sex toys. Her campaign no longer appears to be following Westbrook.

In recent days, Mendoza’s official account started unfollowing some X-rated accounts as The Post began investigating and securing screenshots.

Other accounts were unfollowed before The Post contacted the Mendoza campaign. The campaign did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

Additionally, Mendoza’s official campaign account followed two OnlyFans users, Carriejune Anne Bowlby and Shanin Blake, who promised “an uncensored look into my life.” As of press time, the campaign is still following Blake, but not Bowlby.

Another user who is still being followed, Nina Desoo, maintains an 18+ Patreon account featuring various adult imagery.

Beyond the lewd content, the campaign account once kept tabs on witchcraft material.

It previously followed “Instant Witch,” which gives users “beginner witch tips;” “Mystic Primrose,” which offers a “school for witches;” “Eden Energy Medicine,” which reads “energy colors;” and “Crystal Spirit Readings,” which provides “psychic readings.”

One witchy account her campaign is still following is “Sarah Elkhaldy – The Alchemist,” who purports to be a leader of the esoteric arts and instructor on how to “actualize our evolutionary potential.”

Mendoza’s race is considered to be one of 18 toss-up House races of the 2026 midterm election cycle by Cook Political Report.

Her rival, Ciscomani, was first elected to the lower chamber in 2023.
