Loh Kean Yew claimed Singapore’s best-ever badminton result at the Asian Games on Tuesday (Sep 29), taking silver after losing 12-21, 16-21 to Thai world number one Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the men’s singles final.
The Singaporean was bidding to become the country’s first Asian Games badminton champion, but Kunlavut proved too strong as he created history himself, winning Thailand’s first singles gold medal in the sport at the Games.
